Public Speaking & Shyness
Can Public Speaking Overcome Shyness?
The answer is Yes! However, it takes time.
Shyness is a common trait in children, with more than one in three adults admitting they were shy when they were young. But can children outgrow shyness? If a child experiences noticeable shyness for more than six months, this may become a pattern of behavior that could require intervention. Some scientists suggest that shyness may have a genetic component, with some brains being wired to react with more anxiety and fear.
The good news is that children who are shy can learn to overcome their genetic predisposition. Programs like ours can help children develop the necessary social, emotional, and behavioral skills to thrive. Studies show that children taught how to overcome shyness at an early age often appear no different from those who were never shy.

Our public speaking and communication programs, combined with our stress-free, supportive teaching methods, provide the right tools and environment for your child to open up, face their fears, and become more aware of their positive traits and the world around them.
By engaging in these programs, children will learn not only to communicate confidently but also to build the social skills that will benefit them throughout their lives. “Shyness in children isn’t permanent—when you intervene early with patience and encouragement, you unlock a confident voice that lasts a lifetime.” Rennu Dhillon
