What is Win With Words?

Win With Words is a Public Speaking, Communication, and Confidence Curriculum designed for children ages 3-10. We offer both group and private instruction, with private sessions also available for adults. Win With Words is an enrichment curriculum available through licensing.

What is Miss Rennu’s TLC Recipes?

Miss Rennu, the founder of Genius Kids and Win With Words, developed interactive learning recipes called TLC – Think, Lead, Communicate with Tender Loving Care. These proprietary lessons cover public speaking, communication, critical thinking, speech writing, art, and confidence-building skills.

Is Win With Words an enrichment program or a remedial program?

Win With Words is an enrichment program that focuses on developing important life skills for children ages 3-10. Our goal is to build leadership qualities, helping children develop the tools they need for success in school, their personal lives, and beyond into high school and college.

How can Win With Words complement what my child currently does?

Regardless of age or ability, public speaking is an essential life skill. The fear of speaking in front of a group is one of the most common phobias—often second only to the fear of death. Overcoming this fear at a young age, with practice and support, gives children a tremendous advantage. Win With Words helps them build confidence and develop this crucial skill.

How often should my child attend?

Group classes are held once a week, with each session lasting 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes. We recommend enrolling in the 16-week sessions. Just as regular practice—like with music, art, or sports—weekly attendance helps develop public speaking skills. Consistent practice is key to improvement in areas like eye contact, audience management, body posture, and engaging presentations.

How soon can I expect to see results?

While progress may vary, most parents notice improvements in class participation and attitude within 10-12 weeks. Some children take more time to adjust to the class, so patience is essential. Confidence-building is a collaborative effort between parents and instructors, and with continued practice, positive results will follow.

What level should my child begin?

Children are placed in the appropriate class based on their age and abilities. We offer courses designed for different age groups, each with tailored goals. Our curriculum incorporates simple poems, science, stories, literature, social studies, character education, morals, and social values.

How much time do I need to commit to my child?

Classes are held once a week, and we recommend setting aside 5-10 minutes per day for your child to practice their speech and presentations at home. Practice makes perfect!

How does Win With Words differ from other Public Speaking Programs?

While many centers offer public speaking, Win With Words stands out due to its formal curriculum and proven results. Simply placing a child on stage or handing them a microphone is not enough. Effective communication—skills like informing, empowering, and entertaining—requires professional instruction. Our curriculum, refined over the past 12 years, is designed to bring out the best in each child.

What competitions does Win With Words produce?

We organize the annual Win With Words competitions, offering multiple opportunities for students to speak at events, on radio shows, and in live performances.

Are there any makeup classes?

Typically, there are no refunds or prorated tuition for missed classes.

What is the tuition?

Tuition varies depending on the licensed location. Prepaid discounts are available for the 16-week sessions.

Is there any sibling discount?

Yes, we offer a 5% sibling discount when siblings are enrolled simultaneously. No further discounts are available. For every new friend referred to a 16-week program we credit back $25.00 to your account.

Can a child with learning disabilities benefit from the program?

Yes, many children with learning disabilities—such as ADD, mild to moderate autism, or speech delays—have benefitted from the program. Every child’s situation is unique, so we recommend meeting with the parent and child first to ensure the program is suitable. Combining our classes with a speech therapist or behavioral therapist can be especially effective.

How do I enroll my child and is there a registration fee?

To enroll, simply call our office to schedule an appointment or request a brochure with the class schedule. Registration fees always apply per new session.
